from the villages, the towns,
across his beautiful homeland…
 
Do the Kobzars sing,
songs of their people,
the well of their culture,
the living essence of Ukraine…
 
Do the Kobzars sing,
of this one people rising
do you hear them crying,
for their beloved homeland…
 
Do the Kobzars sing,
songs of their people,
their past glory, history,
the living essence of Ukraine…
