From the tomb a Kozak – v2

From the tomb a Kozak, gray, tired,
emerges from his sleep, his slumber,
in the darkness of the night…
 
He sings in sorrow, ancient songs,
for the cruel fate of his people,
their struggles, their internal strife…
 
How he aches for this people,
groaning in the darkness, aching,
return to the earth at dawn’s first light…
