What joy in heaven
here on this earth
our message is not about ourselves
something far richer
We are proclaiming Jesus Christ
the light which came down from heaven
to save the whole world

Called to Special Sacrifice
Our covenant with God
our inheritance as a people
called to special sacrifice
to the altar of God
To come and serve Him
and our fellow man
dying to ourselves
and going where God leads

to all the peoples of earth
sharing God’s holy message

Continue the race
God never promised the way would be easy
he promised a reward for those who follow
who stay on the path, who stay in the race
continue the race, for all you are worth
the reward, the treasure
beyond our imagination
a shimmering robe, and a crown of gold
not perishable, remaining forever
to stand in the courts
in the temple of the Lord

Soul cleaning time
As the winter to the spring
so in preparing for Lent
soul cleaning time

Coming to the cross
the feet of the Christ
wanting to be clean
for his healing touch

The Spirit will remind you
All that Christ taught us
every word he had spoke
indwelling, abiding
living with us
the Spirit will remind you
all that we need
Christ’s peace within us
guiding us still
speaking within us
keeping us on the path
caution protection
in God’s loving hand

abiding with us still

leading us to heaven

My peace I give you
Did his word give comfort
there is the upper room
surrounded by foreboding
the lowering gloom
My peace I give you
their Master spoke to them
peace not of this earth
but peace so they may live
The peace he could give
from heaven above
knowing what would come
the Spirit within
My peace I give you
our Master speaks to us
abiding within us
ever guiding our feet

A house within me
a house within me
our bodies as the temple
the living body of Christ
here on the earth
a house within me
holding God’s word
the seed planted within
that we would be restored
a house within me
sharing God’s light
Life within us
the Word come alive

What would this all mean
to move the mountains
faith like a mustard seed
only to believe
only to have faith
to do as Jesus did

whispers over rice paper
whispers over rice paper
our journey over time
sometimes with no purpose
no meter, no rhyme
meandering, aimless
seemingly lost
knowing the Savior
where he has paid our cost
Calling to us, Come,
come and follow me
with us to guide us
for all eternity
whispers over rice paper
our lives but a breath
yet faithful, for a purpose
going where we are led

our journey over time
sometimes with no purpose
no meter, no rhyme
meandering, aimless
seemingly lost
knowing the Savior
where he has paid our cost
Calling to us, Come,
come and follow me
with us to guide us
for all eternity
whispers over rice paper
our lives but a breath
yet faithful, for a purpose
going where we are led

Impressions in the clay
The hand of God guiding
the potter over our clay
leading us on that journey
showing us the way
Over the sands of time
the journey of our lives
Our feet leaving prints
permanent in time
Impressions in the clay
for others to see
like dinosaur track, permanent
for someone else to read
In some distant future
the words we have written
written on the rice paper
as impressions in the clay

Like whispers over rice paper
Like the Spirit moving
over the troubled waters
our lives, our journey
a breath, fleeting
Yet walking as on stepping stones
where some of them are hidden
under the sands of time
the swirling waters, chaos, the world
Our steps like whispers
puffs over rice paper
the breath of the living God
leaving faint images, mere impressions
Or perhaps more boldly, vivid
marks etched on the path
journeying forward together
when we are following our Lord

Steps on Rice Paper – v2
Our journey, our walk of faith
our pathways, our footprints
leaving an impression
preserved in the sands
the clay of time
As steps on rice paper
not always visible
yet leaving an impressions
our silent witness, legacy
speaking after us

leaving an impression
preserved in the sands

As steps on rice paper
not always visible
yet leaving an impressions
our silent witness, legacy

Rice Paper – v2
What if our feet were painted
covered in printers ink
what if our journey
our walk of faith, of life,
was written over rice paper
Our feet leaving prints
each one living characters
as if written by a stylus
bolder with our faith
what if we left a mark
permanent in time
Marks left forever
like dinosaur tracks
for someone to read
in some distant future
the words written
written on the rice paper
the pages of our lives

Like whispers on the rice paper
Our lives, our journey
walking on the stepping stones
some of them hidden
under the sands of time
the swirling water
the chaos, the world
our steps like whispers on rice paper
leaving faint impressions
or more boldly
marks on the path
journeying forward together
following our Lord
walking on the stepping stones
some of them hidden
under the sands of time
the swirling water
the chaos, the world
our steps like whispers on rice paper
leaving faint impressions
or more boldly
marks on the path
journeying forward together
following our Lord

When the clay loves like Christ
We will do greater things
we will be like Christ
we will do as he has done
when the clay loves like Christ
Maybe this is what he meant
how we could do greater things
when we love as he does
making Christ our home

we will be like Christ
we will do as he has done
when the clay loves like Christ
Maybe this is what he meant
how we could do greater things
when we love as he does
making Christ our home

How can we know the way
How can we know the way
where Christ is leading
before the cross, Calvary
How can we follow
when our feet are not free
Held in the world
not tied to God’s purpose
needing Christ to guide us
the journey we are making
In the way of that tree
through the cross, Calvary
How can we walk with Christ
on the path of life
safe in his arm
protected in his life

Doing what Christ has done
Living out our lives as disciples
following where He has led
doing what Christ has done
called to living well
Faithful to God’s command
loving our fellow man
doing what Christ has done
loving as the Lamb

We will do greater things
no better than the Master
the servants who come after
yet Christ said we, you and I,
that we will do greater things
than he has done
the clay following
the words, onto the waters
human flesh believing enough
to love as Christ loves us

Lord your words beyond me
preparing a place in heaven
a room for eternity
we don’t know where you are going
yet you say we do
how can we ever follow
all we want is you

Rice Paper
What if our feet were painted
covered in printers ink
what if our journey
our walk of faith
was over rice paper
Our feet leaving footprints
each one characters
as written by a stylus
bolder with our faith
what if we left a mark
permanent in time
Marks left forever
like dinosaur tracks
for someone to read them
in some distant future
the words written
written on the paper
the pages of our lives

Footprints of the Faithful – v2
Marks below the waters
hidden under the sands of time
footprints of the faithful
in the path of life
Footprints in the clay
where Christ had led us
permanent marks of witness
sowing our seeds of life
In the way, steps before us
the stones laid by Christ
leading us to heaven
the journey of this life
