our lives a liquid, like ink, dye,
a breath, a whisper,
the steps of our journeys
spilled, offered, given,
spilled out upon the sands of time
poured out upon the world
bleeding into the thirsty paper
these pages already written
the many colors, textures
of each of our journeys
our own walks of faith
each decision, each word, each action
leaving impressions in the water
footprints in the ether
in the sands of time
captured but for a moment;
but for us important,
each of these moment that are captured,
changing our path, our lives
our story already written in heaven
in God’s Book of Time
our lives a liquid, like ink, dye,
a breath, a whisper,
the steps of our journeys
in ink, moments permanent
like ink infused in hungry paper
bleeding into each fiber, each thread;
the choices each of us makes
the other paths closed off
in each decision tree
the steps that we walk
on the paths of our lives
