a meal filled with ritual

each step meaningful

in the story of the people

a meal filled with ritual

as they remember the journey

the time in captivity

the lamb, God’s protection

the bitterness of Egypt

and God’s sweet rescue

redeeming His people

leading them onward

into the land He had promised

long, long ago.
