Jesus spoke to the disciples
stating his sacrifice
his body, his blood
given for us, poured out
Jesus invites all humankind
to the table of grace
he even invited his betrayer
all that would fail him
in his hour of need
this was the reason
he descended from heaven
to make the table open
for all of God’s children.
