All of you will betray me

the words of Jesus

maybe speaking of Judas

but too many of us could claim the words

we have betrayed him.

“All of you will betray me”,

the more accurate indictment

spitting in the face of Christ

leaving him to the world

utterly alone, abandonment

as he was sent to our own cross.
