bled into the paper

our lives a liquid
upon the sands of time
poured out upon the world
bled into the paper
the pages already written
the many colors, textures
of each of our journeys

leaving impressions in the water
in the sands of time,
but for us important,
changing our path, our lives
our story written in heaven
in the Book of Time

the steps of our journey
like ink infused in the paper
bled into each fiber, each thread
the choices each of us makes
the other paths closed off
the steps that we walk
on the paths of our lives
