every thought that wells up

we sit, we ponder,
we gather ourselves to You
we pray for Your guidance
for the Spirit to teach us…
 
every thought that wells up
every memory is important
every word a message
for our healing, oh God…
 
we cleave to You
we hear You speaking
we strive to listen
for Your still small voice…
 
every whisper is a breath prayer
every thought is a gift
every word we hear spoken
is for our good, oh God…
