Cathartic – v2

Cathartic, releasing, cleansing,
some of the pain we carry,
writing my wounds down
to wick them of power…
 
Speaking aloud our sin,
pain we have carried,
offering others our witness
our authentic selves…
 
Sharing, freely,
openly, transparently,
offering hope
that we are free…
 
Standing witness
to God’s mercy,
writing these words
out of God’s love…
