May we not wither

May we not tarry,
wandering in the desert
May we not linger
in the dry places,
living apart, separated,
from eternal God…
 
May we not wither
in the desert, the dry places,
May we be like trees by the waters
springing forth with life
connected with the shepherd,
with our Father, with God…
 
May we rise up, revived,
May we bear fruit in each season,
May our lives be a testament,
a witness to God’s love
to His promise to walk with us
as we walk on this earth…
