Not their sin

I know my transgressions
my iniquity, my rebellion,
my sins are before me
they indict me in real-time…
 
not their sin but mine alone,
this is what I carry,
this is what Christ picked up
and carried to my cross…
 
I do not remember them fully,
casually forgetting His pain,
the hurt that Jesus carried
that set me free again…
 
not their sin but mine alone,
the source of my horror,
all that Jesus gathered up
and nailed on the cross…
