Not their sins

I know my transgressions
my iniquity, my rebellion,
My sins are before me.
They indict me in real-time…
 
not their sins but mine alone,
These are what I carry,
These are what Christ picked up
and carried to my cross…
 
I do not remember them fully,
casually forgetting God’s pain,
These hurts that Jesus carried
that set me free again…
 
not their sin but mine alone,
They are the source of my horror,
all that Jesus gathered up
and nailed on the cross…
