This is my sacred promise…
I will seek God’s will for your life
to lead you to heaven, to salvation,
honoring the role God has commanded,
as your husband, as your partner…
 
I will always share my heart with you,
I will honor you as my partner
my equal in our marriage, our union…
I will hope for you in everything,
in our life here on this earth…
 
We will live our lives together…
I will love and cherish you,
as flesh of my flesh, my body,
united with me as God has ordained,
together alive in our marriage
