on my darkest day
caught in my sin, my shame,
my pain raw, feeling alone, empty…
You were there with me
You sat down beside me
You were present with me…
 
in that awful moment,
the secret lie exposed,
hitting my rock bottom,
not knowing what to do…
You cared, You listened,
Your were present with me…
 
that was such a gift,
feeling Your arm around me,
like the prodigal I had come home…
a moment of healing, beginning,
my life was changed forever
because You were present with me…
