I spoke the darkness – v2

In this season, this year,
on a journey of redemption,
of reconciliation, of healing,
I am peeling back my hidden secrets
being transparent about my life
the unspoken pain I have carried
that I tried to hide from God…
 
Sitting down with them
I spoke the Darkness, my pain,
to wick it of its power,
to forgive myself, my shame,
not longer in control…
I give it willingly to others
because I know I am not alone…
 
I have held onto these lies of Satan,
my sin was too great, that I am broken,
I have believed the curse I am damned…
I don’t want to be chained any longer
I know that I have eternal life
God saved me for a purpose
He does not want me mired in pain…
 
I am tearing off my mask, my pain,
I am sharing as I am called to
by scripture, by the Spirit,
I know others are hurting too
that they have walked the same steps…
I pray they too will speak their darkness
to wick it of power over their lives…
 
I am tearing down the forest of lies
the wasteland of my torment,
that I may be healed, made free…
I am peeling back each hidden secret
being transparent with my life
each unspoken pain spoken freely,
brought into the Light of God…
