a fire in our hearts

the word burning,
alive within us, blazing,
a fire in our hearts
anything but lukewarm…
 
the flames of Pentecost,
the call to be holy, righteous,
to use all that we are
for the glory of God…
 
a fire in our hearts, rising,
a calling from the Creator,
the Savior redeeming us,
filled with the Spirits flames…
 
the flames of Pentecost,
God’s commands to be righteous,
our hands, our hearts, our minds,
to the work of our lives…
