Where is our conscience, our morality

Where is our conscience, our morality,
How can we see this and remain silent,
Why do we allow these acts of terror, genocide,
What do we need to see to change,
When will we rise to meet this moment,
These endless years of murder, repeating,
Daily images of carnage, of destroyed, shattered lives
And yet we sit in our comfort, too timid, quiet,
While Russia eliminates an entire people,
While we allow them to erase Ukraine…
