I want God to forgive me

I want God to forgive me
for Him to heal me fully
for God to bless me
in spite of myself…
 
I long to walk with God
in the cool of the evening
to be reconciled to God
to be fully redeemed…
 
But I fear my betrayal
my weak confession
that I have not repented
with my whole heart…
 
I want to walk with Jesus
to feel my Savior’s hand upon me
but I walk in my sin,
my guilt and my shame…
