There is purpose in our pain

there is purpose in our pain,
in our days of sin, of struggle,
God is revealed, made known,
in our times of rebellion…
 
there is purpose in our pain,
in our coming to the Father
there is mystery in our suffering
that only time will reveal…
 
there is purpose in our pain,
even when we are innocent,
the nature of God, His essence,
is revealed in the darkness…
 
there is purpose in our pain,
in our coming to the Father,
there is mystery in our suffering
that only time will reveal…
