sharpening our iron

our pain for a purpose
our suffering for our calling,
everything we go through,
for the goodness of God…
 
suffering builds perseverance,
a resolve to follow, to grow,
sharpening our iron
for the fight to come…
 
everything for a purpose,
the heart of God’s goodness,
every test a step,
in revealing our true self…
 
God loves us in the journey,
in our trials, our struggles,
God holds us, He is with us
in the dust of that road…
