The song of Ukraine
its sweet words, its chorus,
has bled into my spirit…
I hear her cries, her prayers,
in the silence of night…
 
I have come to love her,
her noble, courageous people,
fighting for survival, for independence,
this land, this country, this hope
that the world holds dear…
 
May victory come quickly,
May a just peace rise from the ashes
for these good and noble people…
May her blue and yellow flag
soar over every rooftop…
 
The song of Ukraine, Ukraina,
on the lips of her people,
beating in their hearts, united…
Rising, triumphant, ascendant
after more than a decade of war…
