grace fell upon him, bodily,

in his pain, his suffering then,
despair was wicked, taken away,
in the Silence before the train…

in the Silence before the train,
a gift of grace imparted, gifted,
God’s peace washed o’er him,
calm in his troubled spirit…

gifted time to slow, to sojourn,
to walk quietly with God, to remember,
love he needed in that moment,
in the Silence before the train…

in the silence before the train,
sensing God's presence with him,
lifting away his burdens, freedom,
calm in his troubled spirit...
