While their bombers are in the air – v2

While their bombers are in the air,
after missiles have left their launchers,
while the drones are in mid-flight,
while terror stalks each night
air raid sirens, warnings, running,
but truly no way to stop them…
 
Ukraine must be armed, defended,
to clear the skies of Russian terror,
with air defenses, permission,
to take the fight to the enemy,
to meet the moment, the challenge,
as we would do ourselves…
 
They must be allowed to defend themselves,
no more red lines, appeasement, limits,
fearing escalation, stymied, neutered,
not allowed to hit targets, archers,
while there are continuing delays
in aid, in robust air defenses…
