a wounded heart

a deep hurt, hidden,
something we carry, in shame, in truth,
a wounded heart, a fettered spirit,
when we long to fly, to fulfill our purpose…
 
so many days lost, truncated,
in pain, in hurt, in our own prayer closet,
not feeling God, beside us with us,
only feeling pain, no hope for tomorrow…
