what a difference

his despair overwhelming,
alone in prison,
believing the lie,
he was not good enough…
 
what a difference he made
in the lives of his people
his love for Ukraine,
in every word, each breath…
 
he is the one true voice,
the first among equals,
what a great difference,
his life meant…
