God repaid us in Love

Not what we deserve,
broken and sinful,
fallen mortal creatures,
of mud of the flesh…
 
God repaid us in Love,
the sacrifice of Jesus,
sending us salvation,
through His only Son...
 
We deserved the lash,
the mocking, the cross,
but God took all our shame
and repaid us in Love…
