Like the friends of Job

the conversation reeling,
the ancient dance revealing,
the struggle of the people,
the stand strong, resolute,
caught between heaven and hell…
 
he is the interlocutor, the witness,
the judge and jury,
sitting on the judgement seat,
what an awful thought, held,
caught between heaven and hell…
 
they are judged, convicted,
for small transgressions,
eternal condemnation, sentenced,
to eternal damnation, a life,
caught between heaven and hell…
 
like the friends of Job
