God took my burden

God took my burden
the great debt I owed Him
every sin, my shame,
was nailed to the cross…
 
My life is redeemed, restored,
by the saving work of Jesus
God’s Spirit within me
works to heal my heart…
 
I have new life within Him
in my risen Lord and Savior
all else is meaningless
in truth, in my spirit…
 
God took my burden
every sin that I carry
Christ took my debt
and nailed it to the cross…
