worshipping idols

We all stray from God
worshipping our idols
things of the flesh, this earth,
that die, that rust,
We run away, prodigals,
from our loving Father,
We seek value in comfort,
in our fears, our struggles,
not in Almighty God…
 
We believe the lies
of the Devil, of Satan,
We fear God when Christ
made a way for all of us
We struggle fighting this battle
God has already won, truly,
seeking treasure here on earth,
discarding eternity, God’s promise,
Worshipping false idols, the flesh…
