We set ourselves before God

We set ourselves before God
making our flesh our idol
we worship ourselves
as if we are gods
Forgetting the one true God…
 
All of our sin is against God
making of ourselves false idols
giving even our fears primacy
falling into our old habits
Forgetting the one true God…
 
We must cast out our demons
all of our false idols, our gods,
even our own flesh
when we worship ourselves
Forgetting the one true God…
 
Only when we follow the Law
first of God’s holy Commandments
can we live as God’s people
can we walk with our Savior
Worshipping the one true God…
