from the villages, the towns,
his beautiful homeland…
 
Do the Kobzars sing,
the songs of their people,
the well of their culture,
the essence of Ukraine…
 
Do the Kobzars sing,
of one people rising
do you hear them crying,
for their beloved homeland…
