we believe the lie – v2

we read holy scripture,
we ponder words God gave us,
we gather in worship together,
but we are lacking in faith…
 
we forget the truth,
we listened to Satan,
we believed the lies,
every word that was spoken…
 
we must reclaim,
the truth God breathed
each of us unique, a priesthood,
each of us beloved of God…
 
we forget the truth,
but God’s love is right before us,
we must cleave to our Savior,
to the risen Jesus Christ…
 
we must reclaim,
the promise of holy scripture,
we must believe the truth,
that God is always faithful…
