#Jesus could never go back #human

From the beginning Logos, the Word,
before the beginning, in the beginning,
with Father God, with the Spirit,
alive, eternal, as is the Father;
but descending, giving up heaven,
becoming human, the child,
the babe laid in the manger,
the Son of God, of Mary.
 
Jesus could never go back
though He would ascend to the Father
in living eternal human flesh,
but no longer light, spirit,
distinct from God, from the Spirit,
mortal, now eternal, as we will be
in his risen, heavenly body,
the Lamb upon the throne…
