Why are you
wallowing, fearful,
in self-pity, in
self-loathing
hiding under the
covers
afraid of the
world, the steps,
your path, your
daily journey?
Arise, wake up, throw
off the blanket
the garment of
suffering, of troubles,
choose not to
despair, to wallow;
embrace an
attitude of gratitude,
choose a whole
new perspective.
For there is so
much to be grateful for,
the intimate, the
infinite, everything;
All of our steps
are numbered,
the hairs of our
heads counted;
We are fully
known by our God.
