Obedient Faith
Prayer…

Good Morning… God is always on the move. He is always working out His plan in all of our lives…whether we perceive it or not. There are times when we think we have it all figured out, then we get a curve ball thrown into our lives and we wonder where God is. We plan out our lives and then something may happen that causes us to uproot all that we have planned an planted…a death of a loved one…a call from the doctor…a change in employment…and so much more… At times like this I am reminded of Ecclesiastes 3:1-8:

There’s a Right Time for Everything
There’s an opportune time to do things, a right time for everything on the earth:
2-8 A right time for birth and another for death,
A right time to plant and another to reap,
A right time to kill and another to heal,
A right time to destroy and another to construct,
A right time to cry and another to laugh,
A right time to lament and another to cheer,
A right time to make love and another to abstain,
A right time to embrace and another to part,
A right time to search and another to count your losses,
A right time to hold on and another to let go,
A right time to rip out and another to mend,
A right time to shut up and another to speak up,
A right time to love and another to hate,
A right time to wage war and another to make peace.

There is a time for everything…we may not understand it but God does because He has the blueprint of our lives that was created before we ever breathed our first breathe. And sometimes we just don’t agree with God’s timing. But we only see what is front of us and not the whole story… This is where that trusting, faith-filled, committed, faith life we have been talking about comes into play…where we are not believing with our eye and head but having faith from the depths of our souls…this is where our faith turns to obedience to the One who is Faithful.

So, here we are today. We are at the precipice of a new day… a new life… a new era in my life and in the life of this church… and I am so excited for myself as should you be excited for yourself. You have needed and wanted a change and here we are at the beginning of it… I can truly here Isaiah being said in this sanctuary this morning a God ha come to meet us here…
Isaiah 43:18-21 MSG
“Forget about what’s happened;
don’t keep going over old history.
Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new.
It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it?
There it is! I’m making a road through the desert,
    rivers in the badlands.
Wild animals will say ‘Thank you!’
    —the coyotes and the buzzards—
Because I provided water in the desert,
    rivers through the sun-baked earth,
Drinking water for the people I chose,
the people I made especially for myself,
a people custom-made to praise me.

Change is good…it is very good…especially when God’s hand is upon it. Doors are opened and lives are changed. Blessings come down for those with and obedient faith. Yes, it is very good…

It is times like this that we need to hear the words of Paul in his letter to the church in Philippi.
Philippians 3:13-14 New Living Translation (NLT)
13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

There is no looking back when you move forth for God… only looking forward for His kingdom… We move in obedient faith not to our agenda but for God’s agenda.

Church…this is not goodbye but good journey. This is not the end but the beginning of what was asked for. This is not closure but and opening of a new chapter. This is not walking away but obedient faith. This is the fruition…the obedience…the trust…the faith-filled following of Matthew 10:14…
Matthew 10:14 New Living Translation (NLT)
14 If any household or town refuses to welcome you or listen to your message, shake its dust from your feet as you leave.

This is a dusting off… Moving on for His Glory…His Anointing…His Power…His Agenda…His life…

AMEN…
