Questioning Job

Quickly the tables turned
the questioner challenged
Job now in the dock
to answer God’s questions
A word for all of us
this thickest of books
God questioning us
along with the questions for Job
Who do we think we are
do we forget our place
the way we approach God
accusing him of hate
Do we come before God
humble, made of clay
to we listen, do we speak
ignoring his call for us
