Three years, since that snow covered morning
when you warmed my heart, filling me with joy
Saying the words of scripture, of devotion, of hope
on the bridge, our daughters beside us
Smiling, crying, laughing, at our new beginning
in our love for one another,
the promise of a future together
Three princesses and one beautiful queen
entered my world, changing me forevermore
A prayer I add, for this day,
this new year beginning,
here in the midst of advent
that the love we have known
the joy in the days we have shared
will be with us always
until the end of the age
