Like a house of cards

Like a house of cards, a lie,
the buildings on a film set,
only a façade, a veneer,
lacking substance or depth…
 
Decades of corruption, deep rot,
what is the moment, how they will fall,
we do not know yet, but it will happen
quickly, the cards will become as dust…
 
Prison for their evil, their terror, their genocide,
a nightmarish future, a personal hell,
that they have earned in this life,
sorrow for the tyrant, the madman,
when the cards fall down…
