Human life is all that matters – v2

Our hopes, our dreams, our futures,
as a people, as humanity, depends
on this vital message, to overcome terror,
imperial drives, power, ambitions,
indifference to cruelty, to suffering,
to remember what is essential,
to restore the light of freedom,
to bring about healing, restoration,
for these people within these ancient lands…
 
The West, all of humanity, must unite
to stem the tide of aggression, this terror,
truth about that nation, their blindness,
to the humanity of their fellow man,
where human life is all that matters,
to stand in the breach, in the gap, with them,
shoulder to shoulder and heart to heart,
bringing victory, healing, for a just peace to rise,
for these people within these ancient lands…
