They each spoke, crying to our creator,
to our savior, to our shared creed, our shared beliefs
speaking, praying, invoking the province
the protection, the care, of our God
Each in their own traditions, speaking
genuinely, clearly, a sharing, a joining
an inauguration, and more, a community,
a people, a collective day of worship,
a people of faith, no matter the faith
in many ways, together, yearning
These men, these men of the cloth,
these men of faith, the beginning and the end
of our shared worship, remembering
we are a nation of believers,
or so we have always been
and I pray we will always be
