Handmaiden

Servant concubine,
lowly servant, so she was
offered to be, in submission
willing submission
to her God, when He spoke
Changing her life forever,
her way no longer her own
betrothed and begotten son
of God
a womb opened
by the Spirit
filled with love
born to save
