Income Redistribution

So much of what we are struggling with
as a people as a nation
what can we learn from them
how they chose to live
what lessons from the church
of one mind, one heart
income redistribution
sharing all, from one purse
their wealth, their treasure sold
the proceeds at the disciples’ feet
to each as they had need
that none would have want
what can we learn for our time
with the way that they walked
