Memory is a fiction – v4

What we believe we know
so certain, firm in our belief
our history, the moments
the events of our lives

yet memory is a fiction
a creation of the now
reformed, repackaged
expedient, now

We recast our memories
our history to our purpose
how we feel now, this moment
reshaping the fabric, our story, our past
