The air whiter, the sky darker
heavier flakes, snow
falling, more certainly
heavier, swirling to the ground
a purposeful march, more than a dance
curtains, sheets, showers of white
leaving downward, my eyes falling with them
leading to the ground, to the white already there
building white, in the darkening of the day
heavier snow, replacing the light flakes
a few minutes before
