Light flakes, clusters of powder
dancing in the air
falling, defying gravity,
swirling, spinning, rising
puffed up by the side of the house
twirling, left, right, rising
slow motion, quick motion
falling when the wind is still
aerosol fluff, feathers of snow
as if a marionette,
under the spell of the puppeteer
invisible strings, jerking its legs,
arms, body at the mercy
of the air, twisting, turning
dancing to the ground
eventually
