“My Body”, “My Blood”,
these simple words
told to the disciples
shared with us, in remembrance,
words they would understand
all too soon, all to clearly.
His body, His blood
broken, split for them
for all of us, a mystery revealed
His sacrifice on the cross
His life given for all
a table open to all
