His Choices on that Day

History forever changed
by the choices he made that day
the upper room, the garden,
before the Sanhedrin,
his trial before Pilate too

Choosing, each step of the way
even to the cross
to follow the way
the path God had laid out
never turning
to the right or to the left

Christ, on that day,
fulfilling the law,
all of the prophets as well
showing mankind
the love of God
going to the cross for us
