Not as adults, fully aware
our true state far below him
merely human compared with
our sovereign God
Forgiven as children
in the eyes of our Lord
called back to him
our father, our God
Humbly coming
back to his arms open
calling to us
from within our hearts
Confessing our sins
as we are able
turning to him
to forgive us completely
Washed away,
our stain gone
returned to the family
a child of the living God
