exalted in heaven
three trees of the earth
taking a different path
to serve the Lord
three trees of the earth
glorifying God
serving as they are led
serving our Lord
beyond its imagination
a dream from birth
holding great treasure
now the Lord’s manger bed
holding that treasure
God’s gift to us
the King of kings held
in that manger bed
a small sturdy boat
out on the waters
carrying the Savior
across the stormy sea
too small for oceans
right for the fishermen
carrying our Savior
across the stormy sea
two beams put together
stout members intersected
an altar of God
the cross of Jesus
fashioned from the wood
raised up toward heaven
the place where they placed
him
a sacrifice for us
the tree now empty
Christ died, raised up
seated in heaven
now the empty cross
an altar of God
a reminder of God’s love
a tree made worthy
by the blood of the Christ
three trees of the earth
lifting our Savior up
holding the treasure
the babe in the manger
carrying the Savior
out on the stormy sea
an altar of God
the cross of our salvation
